About this workshop
Curious about Dungeons & Dragons but not sure where to begin? Or maybe you’ve played a little and wonder what it takes to become the one behind the screen - the Dungeon Master? This accessible two-part session is the perfect introduction to both playing and running D&D.

In Part One, we’ll guide you through the basics of how to play: what D&D is all about, how a session works, which dice you’ll need, and what to expect when joining a game. It’s ideal for absolute beginners or anyone who feels overwhelmed by the rules.

In Part two we’ll continue with How to DM. Ever wondered how to craft your own adventures, create engaging NPCs, and manage a table of players? Our experienced DMs will share practical tips, personal insights, and advice for getting started.

The presentation is in English, but we’re happy to translate or explain things in Dutch if needed. Expect a welcoming, interactive session that lowers the barrier to entry and sparks your excitement for the game—whether you want to play a hero or run the whole world.
